The best way to discover the town of St Andrews is by bike, or on foot. Since I am Dutch, my genes pushed me to find a bike and I did. At a local bike repair shop (the best!), I managed to rent a very nice bike for my stay here. This is my ride:
When starting to bike around, it becomes clear that St Andrews is small and very old. Some impressions below. I am situated at the school of management, which is less old and cute, but more modern and that has its advantages as well (such as central heating and less drafty rooms). I am connected here to the CRISP research centre, where I will also provide a presentation soon, on our project. Moreover, I will be presenting some related work, mainly on participatory methods, at the University of Sterling later on this month.
